Website Hosting and Server Logs
When you visit dbsoniclabs.com, the hosting environment may process technical server log data required to deliver the website and keep it secure. This may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, HTTP status code, user agent, referrer if available and technical connection information.
The purpose of this processing is the technical operation of the website, security monitoring, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.
Contact by Email
If you contact us by email at hello@dbsoniclabs.com, we process the information you provide in order to answer your inquiry, provide support, handle product questions or continue the requested communication. The legal basis may be pre-contractual communication, contract performance or our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
Voluntary Free-Download Registration
Our tools and apps can be downloaded without registration where a direct download is offered. Registration before downloading is optional. If you choose “Download Only”, no registration data is stored through the registration form.
If you choose “Register & Download”, we collect and store the following data:
- name
- email address
- company, if provided
- product
- version
- timestamp
- source of registration
- consent text and consent version
We use this information to send product updates, release information and important product notes for the software you registered for. The legal basis is your consent. You may withdraw your consent or request deletion of your registration data at any time by contacting hello@dbsoniclabs.com.
Registration data is stored server-side in simple CSV/JSONL export files so it can be exported for later product communication workflows. No registration data is stored only in browser localStorage.
Public Beta Feedback
If you voluntarily submit a bug report or feature request through our Public Beta feedback form, we process your name, email address, feedback type, title, description and any optional technical details you provide, such as app version, macOS version, integration area, reproduction steps, expected result and actual result.
We use this data exclusively to review the submission, improve the relevant product, communicate about the report where necessary and organize the Public Beta process. The legal basis is your consent and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in improving software quality and responding to product feedback. Submissions are stored server-side in exportable CSV/JSONL files and receive a reference number.
Please do not submit passwords, license keys, confidential client information or sensitive project data. You may withdraw your consent or request deletion of your feedback submission at any time by contacting hello@dbsoniclabs.com and providing the reference number where possible.
Stripe Checkout
Professional license purchases are processed through Stripe Checkout on Stripe-hosted pages. If you click a “Buy Professional License” button, you are redirected to Stripe. Payment data is processed by Stripe. DBSONIC LABS receives transaction, customer and payment status data needed for order fulfillment, accounting, license issuing and support.
Stripe is responsible for its own processing on Stripe-hosted pages. More information is available in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
License and Machine Request Workflow
To activate a Professional license, users may export a Machine Request file from the app and send or upload it to DBSONIC LABS. The Machine Request is used to generate a machine-bound offline license file.
The Machine Request is intended to contain technical licensing information and should not contain raw personal data unless the user adds it separately. License files may contain owner name, email address, product information, license type, version metadata and machine-bound activation metadata. We process this information for license activation, license management and support.
Software and App Data
DBSONIC LABS tools and apps store configuration and license data locally on the user’s Mac or workstation, depending on the product. Our apps do not automatically send telemetry to DBSONIC LABS. No cloud account is required unless explicitly stated for a future product. Diagnostic or support information is only shared with DBSONIC LABS if the user actively copies, exports, sends or uploads it.
Cookies and Local Storage
DBSONIC LABS currently does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies on this website. Information about the current cookie situation is available in our Cookie Policy. We currently aim to keep dbsoniclabs.com lightweight and privacy-conscious. We do not claim analytics tracking unless it is actually implemented. Stripe may set cookies when you open Stripe Checkout on Stripe-hosted pages.
Embedded Media
Product videos currently embedded on dbsoniclabs.com are hosted locally on this website. No third-party video tracking is used for these local videos. If external video providers are added later, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
