Terms

Last updated: July 4, 2026
Provider
These terms apply to software products provided by DBSONIC LABS // DBSONIC MEDIA, owner Daniel Boist, Bergstrasse 10, 56332 Lehmen, Germany. Support contact: hello@dbsoniclabs.com.
Digital Software Product
DBSONIC LABS provides digital software products for post-production workflows. Products are delivered as downloads, license files, documentation and related digital materials. No physical goods are shipped unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Free Version
A free version may be offered for evaluation or limited personal use. The free version may contain feature limits, usage limits or other restrictions described on the relevant product page.
Professional License
A Professional license unlocks Professional features in the same software application. Unless stated otherwise, the Professional license is a one-time purchase and not a subscription. Version 1.x updates are included. Major upgrades, including Version 2.x or later, may require a paid upgrade.
Machine-Bound Offline License
Professional licenses may be issued as machine-bound offline license files. The license file is generated from a Machine Request exported by the app. License transfer or activation on a new machine is handled by DBSONIC LABS support. We may request reasonable information to verify the original purchase and activation context.
Permitted Use
The license is granted to the purchaser or the organization represented during purchase for internal post-production workflow use. You may not resell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute or commercially host the software or license files unless DBSONIC LABS has given explicit written permission.
Restrictions
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, bypass licensing mechanisms, remove copyright notices or use the software in a way that violates applicable law, except where such restriction is not permitted by mandatory law.
Workflow and Data Responsibility
DBSONIC LABS tools are designed to support professional workflows, but no software can guarantee protection against data loss, workflow errors or incorrect operating conditions. Depending on the product, you remain responsible for verifying results, backups, storage destinations, restore workflows and any other production-critical process before relying on them in professional use.
No Guarantee Against Data Loss
DBSONIC LABS does not guarantee that data loss, project corruption, configuration errors, hardware failures, user mistakes or third-party software issues cannot occur. You should always validate backup results before relying on them in production.
Support
Support is provided by email at hello@dbsoniclabs.com. Support scope, response times and availability may vary by product, license type and release status.
Payment Processing
Professional license purchases may be processed through Stripe Checkout. Stripe may apply its own checkout and payment terms. DBSONIC LABS receives the transaction information necessary to fulfill the order, issue licenses, handle accounting and provide support.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DBSONIC LABS is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, production downtime, loss of business opportunities, loss of data or consequential damages. Mandatory statutory liability, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, remains unaffected.
Changes to Products and Terms
DBSONIC LABS may improve, update or discontinue software features, documentation or product pages. These terms may be updated for future purchases or future product versions. The version published on this page applies from the stated update date.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by German law, excluding conflict-of-law rules where legally permissible. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected. Where legally permissible, jurisdiction is determined by the provider’s place of business.
